Beach 8 is the site most often used by local shops for training. It is adjacent to the Atlantic Beach Bridge and offers easy access and a wide variety of conditions, and life. You can dive the site every weekend throughout the year and see something different each time. be sure to consider tides and currents before you enter the water. Visibility ranges from 3' to 30' and is typically best very early and very late in the season. The depth averages about 20' with a maximum of about 45'-50' near the center of Reynolds Channel. Local law requires that you carry or anchor a dive flag during your dive. The bottom is varied from sand flats to mussel beds, rocky reef, and pebble bottom.
